WALKING IN THE SNOW
Mar 3rd, 2008 by admin
I can’t wait for winter to be done and over with. Every summer I say the same thing to myself, “I cannot wait for the winter, and this heat is driving me crazy.” Well no more. Today I had to walk through three inches of snow, while the other two blew down into my eyes just to get to the store. My feet were soaked through and through, mostly because I accidentally stepped off a curb and into a puddle while I was distracted by someone shoving a flier into my face for hair loss drugs of all things. The last thing I was worried about was loosing my hair. My toes maybe, but not my hair. And why was he standing outside in this weather handing out paper anyway? It could not be that he was being paid well to do it or else I am in completely the wrong profession. Anyway, I walked three blocks only to find out the store was closed. So I ended up walking another four more blocks to the closest twenty-four hour CVS because there was no way I had gone through what I went through to just turn back. So after my hour and a half trek to the store and back, I walk into my apartment only to find my roommate in the bathroom. If that walk did not make me hate winter enough, making that walk after forgetting to go before I left surely did it for me. I disliked my roommate quite a bit as well.
