MY SON IS INTERESTED IN A GAMING COMPUTER

My son came home from one of his friend’s house all excited. It was his friend’s ninth birthday the week before and his grandparents bought him a new gaming computer. My son couldn’t stop talking about how much fun he had using his friend’s new computer. He explained the computer had all different kinds of games on it, some that even were educational. You could learn while playing. His friend told him that when he goes to bed he knows his father sneaks into the family room and plays these games too. It could be entertainment for the whole family. He asked if I would think of getting him a gaming computer for Christmas this year and promised he would share it with all of us and even offered to teach us whatever game we wanted to learn. He said he wouldn’t even mind the educational games. He told us to think of the long cold winter evenings and how we could all have fun playing games on the computer. I think my son would be a good salesman, or maybe even a politician. He had it all figured out and kept thinking up more advantages of having a gaming computer. I had to hide my smile knowing there was a computer hidden in our closet that we had decided to give our son for Christmas.
