CELEBRATING IN CHICAGO

My son Mark proudly announced his engagement to a wonderful girl this weekend. We were all thrilled with hearing the good news. He had met Tammy while in college in Iowa and they have been going together for the last two years. They had been talking about when they wanted to get married and decided on October of next year. That gave them a year to plan the wedding. We had called Tammy’s parents to tell them we were so pleased and excited about our families uniting. They had been so friendly whenever we spoke. They graciously invited my husband and I out to Chicago so all of us could share our ideas and help our children have a memorable wedding. We all put our heads together and the weddings plans went very smoothly. With all the major details outlined we had time to enjoy ourselves. Tammy’s parents took us all out so we could celebrate. We really got a true taste of Chicago nightlife that evening. I couldn’t believe what an interesting town Chicago is! There were so many places to choose from that the decision where to celebrate was almost harder than any decisions we made regarding the wedding plans.
